Summer Orchestra Academy

Mountain View’s Orchestra Program is introducing a new Summer Orchestra Academy. Designed for students of all levels, the academy brings students together under the direction of Dr. Temme, along with additional guest instructors, to enable students to advance their music skills over the summer. Open to all current and incoming Mountain View orchestra students (currently enrolled in grades 8-12), the academy runs June 11, 13, 17, and 19th, with two classes scheduled each day – in the morning from 10 am-12 pm and in the afternoon from 1-3 pm. Each class is independent, and you can attend as many or as few of them as you choose. The four class options, each lasting two hours, include: Electric Strings, Fiddling, Regional Excerpts and Technique Tips. Students of all playing levels are welcome.

The Summer Orchestra Academy is free to all attendees, and a pizza lunch will be provided for students registering for the full day (both daily sessions).
